Joanne Black

My training is in Criminal, Mental Health and Prison law although I chose to specialise in Mental Health law and set up the Mental Health Department at John Black Solicitors. The vast majority of my work involves advising and assisting detained patients so that they know their rights under the Mental Health Act and representing them at Mental Health Tribunals and Managers Meetings. I represent a wide range of patients under both forensic and civil sections and people who have different abilities, diagnoses and needs.

I also represent people who are in the community and wish to be discharged from a Community Treatment Order or Guardianship be it within a hospital setting or in a care home.

I have a wide array of knowledge and experience to draw from and feel that my training greatly assists my work in the area of Mental Health law.

Should you wish to seek my help or advice please contact me by telephone on 01619725999 by email at joanne@jbs-law.co.uk.
