Lisa Whitehouse

I am the Office Manager here at John Black Solicitors, having worked for the company for over 8 years, since its inception in June 2003.
I initially started my employment here as a Legal Secretary progressing through to Crown Court Case Worker and now Office Manager.

I have a number of roles within the company including Accounts Clerk, Mental Health Billing Clerk and Crown Court Billing Clerk.

A further role I undertake within the company is one of Crown Court Caseworker which involves fully preparing matters for Trial, liasing with Barristers and Experts alike, attending at the Crown Court and Conferences. I have been preparing Crown Court cases for a number of years now which have covered a wide range of offences. The role of Crown Court caseworker is a varied and interesting role as no two cases are ever the same and we here at John Black Solicitors pride ourselves on working as a team, working with our clients to deliver an excellent friendly service and achieving the best result possible for them.

I am a full time case worker at John Black Solicitors and have worked within the firm for four years. Part of my job role also includes the preparation of Crown Court cases and working along side the Solicitors to provide the best advice and assistance to clients.

I have undertaken training on the Police Station Accreditation Scheme to qualify to provide advice at the Police Station. I am able to provide advice and assistance to clients whilst in custody and also to those who may be required to attend the Police Station for a voluntary interview.

I have been preparing Crown court cases for the past 3 years and have covered a wide range of different cases.

I work alongside that Solicitors and Defence Counsel in order to fully prepare each individual case, whether it be instructing an expert or taking witness statements from a third party, preparing the case for Trial or obtaining reports and references prior to Sentencing. Every case is extremely varied at John Black Solicitors and we always endeavour to deliver for our clients the best possible service.
